92nd Mixtape Feature: Carlton Banks
Yesterday, C. Banks released the followup to the Twitter-themed Music Monday he put out a few months ago. #MMV2 is nothing like the first, but definitely not worse. The feeling of the songs feature a different type of style no one can hate on. Great local (Sacramento) representation lies on #MMV2.

Nicatyne, Illecism and JoEL – Fly High Anthem

Nicatyne, Illecism, JoEL and a few others run a site called Fly High and this seems to be a fitting anthem for their adventures which include days in their neighborhood and making music.

Featured Artist/Group: JoEL

It’s time to show some hometown respect to the Sacramento rapper, JoEL. Besides being the first artist on this blog that lives in the same city as me, JoEL is proficient at maintaining himself as a rapper/singer. There is a lot of undiscovered talent here in Sacramento, and many other places, that need to get recognized real quickly because there are too many people grinding that are not seeing the effects of it.
Featured Artist/Group: Anca

Some say that being a female rapper is an automatic disadvantage in music, but Anca‘s grind puts those naysayers to shame. Rooted in Jacksonville, FL, she puts in work by contributing to the South’s musical uprising. She also makes frequent collaborations with Nicatyne, a Sacramento, CA producer, so she’s creating dope music from coast to coast.
