This time around, I had the chance to interview Chicago artist S-Preme. If you read after the jump, you will read where we talked about his sound, his newest mixtape and more.
S-Preme unveils the cover art and final lead-up track to his forthcoming mixtape, The Sicktape: Volume 2. The Chi City spitter goes inon “Go Hard” over a soulful backdrop laced by Soundtrakk, who you may better know as Lupe Fiasco’s go-to beatsmith. S-Preme’s The Sicktape: Volume 2 drops early next month, and will be hosted by deckmaster Terry Urban.
For week #2 of the October interviews, I had a chance to speak with Baltimore’s 810 just before he was ready to release Glass Half Full. That mixtape will be coming November 12, but an EP entitled I Hate OPBs will be here one week from today (October 20th).
J. Nolan adds a Lupe Fiasco “freestyle” to his lengthy dossier utilizing his “Failure” instrumental. An interesting song this is, so download now.
With influences such as Nas, Outkast and Lupe Fiasco, it’s no wonder why Mike Classic has incredible music. This Queens powerhouse has the lyrics to make you laugh and think at the same time. With this skill, he hopes to change the face of music. Mike Classic’s mixtape, When It’s Playoff Mode, supports his cause and makes for an excellent mixtape.
LupEND will be LupE.N.D.
Disc 1: Everywhere (LupE.N.D.)
Disc 2: Nowhere (LupE.N.D.)
Disc 3: Down Here (LupE.N.D.)
