It’s An Infinite Cycle Interviews… Junclassic

Since Late Nights and Early Mournings, I’ve been following Junclassic‘s career and I finally got a chance to interview him this week. This was probably one of my favorite interviews I’ve done so far, so read week #3′s interview from Junclassic after the jump.
P.S. I am “Killa”, it’s not bad…
810 – NFL

I Hate OPBs (I Hate Other People’s Beats) is an EP to promote 810‘s upcoming mixtape, Glass Half Full, which is coming on November 12th. 810 used Jay Z’s “A Million and One Questions” instrumental and I Hate OPBs drops October 20th.
Glass Half Full = November 12th, 2009
62nd Mixtape Feature: Junclassic

As Junclassic‘s first-ever mixtape, Southside’s Savior shows his experimentation with his sound as well as maintaining the familiarity he’s known for. As I went through the mixtape, I noticed that the songs cover things from not rushing to grow up to “The Dope Song” (which is one of my favorites). Being a fan of diversity, I think Southside’s Savior has enough to where anybody could pick out a favorite.

56th Mixtape Feature: D. Julien

Live, Love, Learn is a mature record. What I mean is, it’s life music. Experiences turned into relatable music. Definitely excited about this project because I worked real hard, seriously. <–That may sound cliche but it is what it is.
- D. Julien
Exclusively produced by Soulful!, D. Julien‘s newest mixtape is his personal collection of learned experiences infused into song. He kept the features on Live, Learn, Love limited to one person, although that is the most necessary way to express one’s self. This was definitely a good move D. Julien made because you can restrict yourself to make a specific type of record.

D. I – Fight Night

Before The Prelude is an EP that will have D. I‘s rejected songs from The Prelude: This Is Not A Mixtape circa early 2008, so technically, this is an old song. He will release new songs soon enough, but let’s back track a little and listen to an earlier D. I.

Red Bull Big Tune Beat Competition

BET and Red Bull have teamed up to give viewers front row and backstage access to the nations premiere music producer battle Red Bull Big Tune. During the 2008 U.S. championship clash, 16 producers from 8 cities battled head-to-head in front of a live audience in New York City to win respect, votes and ultimately to claim the title of Red Bull Big Tune Champion.
In this head-to-head competition, there will only be ONE producer left standing – the one with the big tune. You wont want to miss how it all unfolds. Special appearances by Alchemist, Digable Planets, DJ Premier, Sha Money XL and Young Buck.
–FINALISTS–
Ill Mind – Philadelphia | Marc Garvey – Oakland | Sound Mob – Houston | 14KT – Detroit | J. Bizness – Los Angeles | Algahrythm – Washington D.C. | Brainstorm – Seattle | C-Sick – Chicago
35th Mixtape Feature: Frontier

Frontier is a talented producer that has just released this “instrumixtape” and with a title like Hearing Kolor II, you are guaranteed to find diversity in each track. For example, “Holes In My Socks” sounds like Frontier has gained inspiration from DJ Premier’s production style including scratches and short, incomplete samples. In “The Genesis”, he uses a Jay Z sample and reinterprets “A Milli”.
